  • Date2018-12-05
  • Content

Recently, a contract has been formally signed between the COOEC (Thailand) which is in alliance with Unithai, a local onshore demolition partner in Thailand, and the CEC INTERNATIONAL, LTD (THAILAND BRANCH) which is the Owner (hereinafter referred to as the CEC) with respect to the Demolition and Abandonment Project of Two Integrated Gulf of Thailand Platforms in Bangkok.

The Project is located in the water area of approximately 20 m depth at the SKL-C Oilfield of the Gulf of Thailand, and approximately 18 km from the Songkhla Province. It covers two platforms including a fixed wellhead platform (WHP) and a fixed processing platform (PP). In addition to offshore platform demolition, the Project also involves the purchase and onshore demolition of platform assets, and the sales of waste products. It is a real sense of "one-stop service".

Since the completion of the first overseas demolition project in the Gulf of Thailand in 2017, COOEC has continued to strengthen the market development intensity of abandonment businesses. By starting with the overseas demolition project in the Gulf of Thailand, COOEC has been constantly exploring the platform abandonment markets in regions such as Brazil, Mexico and North Sea of England. The signing with CEC on the demolition and abandonment of two integrated platforms enriches the performance of overseas platform abandonment business of COOEC, and lays a good foundation for subsequently stepping into other markets.
